The word ‘Motivation’ is used in this Theory in the ordinary sense of the word. The Theory splits Motivation into two distinct types: Direct Motivation and Indirect Motivation. Indirect Motivation is a key concept in this Holistic Psychological Theory.
Studying your own motivation by means of the Motivation Check makes it possible to self-assess the quality of your Sense your Self, another key concept in this Theory. Assessing your Sense-of-Self is useful because, if you discover you have a lack of (healthy) Sense-of-Self, you could decide to work on Restoring your Sense of Self – and that would be highly likely to improve your quality of life and even improve the world as a place to live in.
Motivation is discussed further in the entire Motivation section of the site.
